FROM PALESTINE TO THE PHILIPPINES

U.S. imperialism continues to have detrimental effects on the lives of Filipinos worldwide through intense militarization and exploitations of people and resources. The Philippines is just one of the many victims of this system—the United States War Machine.

Accompanying the phrase is a tikbalang, an anthropomorphic horse creature from Filipino folktales. This design utilizes the figure as a protector of the Philippines, symbolizing Filipino culture predating colonial contexts. It illustrates the tikbalang screaming in both opposition and pain. It reflects the continued efforts of international revolutionary forces and recognizes the loss of culture at the hands of imperialism.
