LECHON

Lechon is often a food of festivity in Filipino culture. Coincidentally, the pig is also a symbol of authoritarian and oppressive rule. This artwork plays on those dynamics to illustrate the long-standing forces of resistance in the Philippines. This meal is a celebration of the eventual dismantling of the hegemonic systems currently in place, instilling a sense hope in the world revolution.
